Pass on a Handler 135. The Handler 135 has developed a pretty strong history of having control board failure issues. Hobart corrected these issues with the Handler 140.

I have to jump in. How old is it? What shape is it in? Have you seen it weld? Who owns the bottle? Cmon man, use your head.

im with monte on this one, the bottle can be an issue, they only last so long before they are out dated as far as the 300 bucks, how much more would it cost you to get a new one with a waranty

i have one that is fairly old, a few years back i had to mess around with the mechanics of the roller feed, the plastic where it is mounted warped and put every thing out of alignment. why mess with a used welder, i would not spend more than 200 for what he has got, mayby 225 but not much more, ya can get them on sale at tractor supply or home depot and lowes at a fair price. a customer owned bottle is dated, check to see if it is still good

If it works & you want it go buy it. Good price in my opinion. Good for up to 3/16" which is excellent size for auto stuff. If you don't like it you can get your money back by selling it.

Where I am a full 80 cf or 125cf customer owned bottle goes for tops $125 used without a regulator when you can find them. I've sold several. New they are close to $200 + fill. Date stamped on bottle is good for 10 yrs. If out of date it is $25 for retest. I've never had a bottle not test.
