Hello and thanks in advance for reading. I just bought a 300 Syncrowave and there is no Input Voltage Chart on the right side panel. Does anyone know the protocol to wire 240? Thanks Keith

Here is a link to the manual... Make sure that you plug in the serial number to make sure you get the right version manual for your machine..

Hello H80N,
Thanks for the advice. I have the correct manual and as close as they come to it is "Refer to the input voltage chart for the correct jumper positions". That side of the welder generates most of the heat so I am thinking the chart dried up and got blown away in a cleaning exercise.
I found this photo on a older post and it was never confirmed that this was the 240 volt setup.
My welder has the jumper in the middle.
Dangit I want to make some sparks!
Thanks Keith

Hello, I found a chart that has 3 separate labels.
The first is 200/230/460 and shows where to put the jumpers
Second is 230/460/575 but the 230v is not the same jumper configuration as the first label.
I am assuming to use the first chart as my power cant get any where near 575 volts?

Two different versions of the machine. You need to use the one that is correct for your specific machine. I suspect, we will soon see another thread,,,,, "There was a flash, then a bang, then smoke, then nothing."Obviously, I'm just a hack-artist, you shouldn't be listening to anything I say .....

Yeah JSFAB I dont mind doing that on a 6 dollar whatever, but I am not taking any chances on my new best friend. You are correct about the two machine thing. After I dug a little deeper the manual I found it made mention that the machine would have only one of the labels. My welder has only one jumper on the center two terminals, which coincides with 460 volts on the first label. The second label never used that config for any scenario. Thanks for getting involved.

the serial number also has the machine version encoded in it...
did you download your manual by serial number or by name?? if just by name, it will give you the latest version... but that may not match your machine....
post your serial number.. then at the very least Cruizer can decode it for you...

Should be a nameplate/serial number plate on the outside of the machine somewhere, that tells what input voltages are permissable. I would never just go by how it was wired before, the last guy could've done it wrong.Obviously, I'm just a hack-artist, you shouldn't be listening to anything I say .....

Thanks for all the help. I took a blurry snapshot of the serial # and it looks like JP876955. My machine was to old to look up the manual by the #. So I did the model # which had no diagrams. Perhaps so people unfamiliar with wiring these machines didn't jump to the first diagram with their voltage listed. I am going to my shop and will write the # down this time so dont think I am snubbing you guys if you dont hear from me for a hour or two. I really appreciate your advice. Thanks Again and Merry Christmas.

T1 part number....
Bird
bet when Cruizer comes back online, that he can help you...
BUT..... if you can find a part number on the transformer.... it will tell you which voltage range it is for (see parts list in manual)
For instance T1 (transformer)
#107-205 (200/230/460)
#097-038 (230/460/575)
there are several that were used.... check the back of the manual... is listed as figure #4 on the parts list....

Hello H80N, Yep that's my Mrs's. She is like that, at the door everyday when I come home from work......huh .....what,,,what ohh I must have dozed off. Actually I am 99% sure the decal I photo'd said 200/230/460 so I think I have it but I am going to check with Miller tomorrow. I dont want to crash and burn when I am this close. Hope you had a good Christmas. Thanks for your help.
