Trim is just a made up word for a nominal setting of multiple output variables. It is not a percentage of any particular value. Just think of it as volts. As the trim goes up, so does the arc length resulting in a wider, flatter bead.

some lincoln welders(machine) have a dual setting for volts/trim.

i understand the volts, but if another process is used, it reverts to the trim

setting. i remember it is a % of ?
