I should have been a little more clear. I would like to get information from other Air Pak owners.
As to the pressure at the 3 settings, max pressure, and other stuff.
I will email you all the info, and it will not cost you anything, save a little gas and time(10 mins.).
I am looking for machines with the 004 code and up. Thats the ones with the air cooler. As that is what I have now.
But I'll take what I get.
So how about a little help please.
killdozerd11 are you in? I lost you email.

I just need 4-Trailblazer 302 Air Pak owners, that are willing to participate in this test.
All names and information will be kept confidential.
I know there is not that many Air Paks around, since they are so new. And the owners might not frequent this forum everyday.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Bob

Not a big seller for Miller, I mean for $10K, a guy comes pretty close to buying a good diesel, and extra change to pickup a stand alone compressor which most guys don't need anyways. So only a select crowd would look into buying this unit.
Cruizer, Case IH, You guys are both right. I thought I was up grading. As a farmer
I use more air than weld in the field. Since 1970 I have always carried an air compressor in my PU. The welders came later. I had a Roughneck that was moved from one PU to another, but mostly my foreman carried it. Then I got an under hood welder SST 130. It was never enough welder. Then while moon lighting, in the off season, for the rail road I got the Miller Legend. I needed power for a hydraulic hose machine.
Then while baling hay, my PU was stolen. No more welder , air compressor, Snap-On tools, grinders, drills, all gone. CHP found my PU striped. So I rebuilt it Champion 12.5 hp compressor, Trailblazer 302, some Snap-on tools, but mostly cheap stuff.
Long story short.
Old PU quit. I got a new to me 1 ton and thought I would upgrade the air compressor. Having way more bed area, I figured I could go the extra length of the Air Pak. So that is why I got it.
Since I saw my first Big Blue Air Pak, I always thought it would be nice to have a smaller one for a PU. When this 302 Air Pak came out, I too said you could have 3 compressor for the extra money of the Air Pak.
Don't get me wrong I Never said the machine is BAD.
I just might be expecting more than the machine has.
That's why I need something to compare it to. Is it my machine or all machines?
Good Luck,
Bob

I can see it being discontinued in short order.
I bought mine in Feb., and it has a MA prefix.

I just found a website that said a 3/16" orfice will pass 53 cfm at 90/100 psi.
This might be part of the reason I'm not get the pressure I think I should.
hobbynut said a 1/8" will pass 23 cfm at 100 psi. I think I'll try that size and see what happens.
Good Luck,
Bob

I still would like to find out what other people are getting.
Amflo 226 air nozzle and pressure gauge, for your use. I have 3 left.
I would like at least one machine without the air cooler/separator. That would be 907447, 907447002,and 907447003. Mine is the 907447004.

Guys,
Just to clarify, this has been an extremely popular unit over the last 2 years. We talk to and visit customers that use the Trailblazer Air Pak every week and this is the very first time we've had anyone say that the Air output has not impressed them. Virtually all compressor companies rate air outputs at 68 degrees F and "stretch" the ratings with low duty cycles. We rate at 104 F at 100% duty cycles and underrate the compressor at that. If you havn't seen any in the field, try all the mines, railroads and service trucks that have put them on with great feedback and results. Even the workers with farm and construction applications have good success stories from running impacts to deck punching tools. Remember, sometimes when using the Air Pak to "blow stuff off", free air flow often exceeds 26CFM which does reduce operating pressure.
We at Miller realize that this forum is for our valuable customers and partners in the welding industry, but the TB Air Pak has been so good and well recieved, I wanted to contribute to this conversation to help educate those who may want my 2 cents.
Thanks as always for being so passionate and open with sharing your thoughts and comments.
Have a great day!
