Help syn350 stick?

A friend of mine said i can use his syn350 system and I've used his tig on this system but I was wanting to use the stick side on the system. I put the other lead in the system and set the system so the stick was lit and still no spark. any ideas?

Double check your connections, and make sure the remote is turned off.

how do you turn off the remote? is this just unplug?

Unplugging the foot pedal may be enough, it was for my Synchrowave 180. Look also for a front panel switch that might say "remote", and flip that off.

If you think about it, with TIG, the tungsten is not live unless you push the foot pedal, so if stick is dead, that is probably tied to the foot pedal in one way or another.
