newbie Question. When switching wire spools can i reel back the wire thats in the gun back on the spool or is the liner directional or something? Seems like a waste of 10 ft of wire otherwise.

I do it all the time.
I just cut the ball off the end of the wire and roll it back on the spool. Be careful and don't let the loose end get away from you or you'll have a mess.
Some people say once it goes through the drive rolls it's no good any more (won't feed right). I say they have too much money.

I always wind it back up, the only exception being if the wire is kinked or crushed, then I'll wind back as much as I can and cut off the junk.Owner of Burnt Beard Fabrication & Welding Ltd.
