    Oxy/Acet problem

Hello, I was hoping someone could give me some help on diagnosing an issue with my Oxy/Acet set up. It has worked fine up until recently. I am getting a seperation between the tip and flame when starting it up. Once I get the flame adjusted for cutting I am getting a constant popping sound. I am not sure what is causing this. I get it adjusted and it cuts fine, but I continue to get the popping sound. It's not loud just continuous about every 5-6 seconds.

Either its a leak around the torch handle or tip or turn the acetylene pressure up some, you are starving the fuel supply.

Thank you I will check for leaks around the torch handle and tip. I usually set it at 25 & 5 maybe I need to go up a bit on the acetylene.

Bigger the tip the more gas it needs, also too short preheat flames will cause pops.

          25-5 good

Adjust your mixture richer. Did you drop your tip, might not be sealing at the big nut. Look for a little flame around the nut.
          Good Luck,
          Bob
