The girlfriend finally decided to upgrade from her broken old lincoln autoshade to a real helmet a little while back, finally ending up choosing a Miller D-Elite. Of course none of the graphics offered by Miller really appealed to her so she took matters into her own hands
She used a paper cutting machine (craft/ scrapbooking type of deal) to cut out stencils and then painted it in several different, layered shades. Once that was done she sprayed a couple of layers of clear coat to help keep it looking nice, at least for a little while.
All the painting was done using good old fashioned spray cans.
