10L14 Steel - weld, braze, ???

This alloy is sometimes called leaded steel, is very nice to machine but is almost unweldable - not sure whether this is due to the lead in the alloy or other properties. My question is whether it can be brazed or silver soldered. I'd also be interested if you have welded it successfully and how you did it. I have a MIG and O/A available.

In my application the joints will not be under a lot of stress.

I weld it with my mig all the time. Sometimes i get a pin hole in the weld but just grind it out and run another bead if its a problem...Bob
