New MM 252 spray??

I bought a MM252 last week. I love the machine thus far. Currently I'm spray arcing with it. Tonight I discovered the manual section describing the ability to adjust the pre arc wfs. The machine sprays great but upon arc start I constantly get poping and spatter for a second. My question is should I attempt to adjust the pre arc wfs? Or is there another fix?? Oh Yeah......030 e70s2,,,98/2,,,26.5v,,,477wfs...

Yes, you can adjust the run-in speed down (slower) to make the starts smoother. Holding the torch too close to the work at the start can cause poppy starts too.

Today I discovered another potential cause. I noticed that when the machine sets ideal for a bit, the volume flow guage on the regulator creeps up from 25 cf, where I have it set, to max pressure reading. I think this means the regular is not holding a static flow rate.

Yeah something's up with your reg if it's doing that.

Contacted rep....He replaced the reg with an upgrade. No Worries!
