i need info on the switch for the spoolmate 100 for the millermatic 180 autoset. i need part number and where to get the best prices on miller equip. right now i use airgas and National.

Doesn't the Spoolmate come with the switch?

Didn't need it for the Passport so don't remember if it came with one, have to check the box.

I thought the Spoolmate 100 was direct-connect with the 140 AS, 180 AS, Passport Plus and 211 AS, not requiring adding any switch harness added to the machine?? The older 140's and 180's before the Auto Sets came out had to have the switch and plug harness installed inside the machine to be used with the older Spoolmate guns, as I recall.

bought my diversion165 off ebay it was$180.00 less that airgas.. consumables were about half as much..i'm not knocking ag. i get great prices on gas..no taxes on ebay..got my welder in 3 days and it came from miller. i can find out which seller i got mine from if you are interested.

The part # for the retrofit kit is 300409.

You can get them off eBay, or your LWS can order it for you. List price is $40.00.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've never lost a machine sale to an internet supplier. I'd be embarassed if I lost a customer sale this easily, the tax issue is unavoidable but has never been an issue.

Do you have the serial number for the MM-180AS? The serial number cut-off for using the switch that came with the Spoolmate 100 is LH210051N. Any MM-140, MM-140AS, MM-180 and MM-180AS after this serial number would use that switch and the part number is 233701. Any of these units before serial number LH210051N would need to order retrofit kit # 300409.

this is where i ordered mine..real nice people..they actually answer the phone!!
i think they are a certified miller dealer.. call them and ask about the warr.
they have thousands of feedback and they are 100% positive..
