  • 12 RC Digital Readout Issues....195 194 Install Questions

I have a 12 RC at both work and at home. I sourced two 195 194 Remote Voltage/Current Setting kits from Miller.

Problem is the instructions only cover serial numbers through LF.

Serial number at work is LJ, mine at home is LK.

How do I install these kits? Do I even need them? I thought I did.....I want the meters to read volts and amps.

Big 40 Deluxe CC/CV at work with the Cat diesel (2007).....TB 302 at home I bought November '08.

    Thanks,

    Allen

Have you tried calling Miller wire feed service?
They would be better at handling this type of question since it's about a specific product ser# timetable.

    Good luck

Did your 12RC's come with meters installed in them from the factory? My 8RC with factory meters reads volts, amps and wire feed speed as-set-up from the factory, no additional kit needed.

You need meter kit #300178 covers the 12RC AFTER LF232631.

I can download the manual to you if you wish..

          No.

I don't need the meter kit.

          They were factory installed.

The 195 194 Volt/Current sensor kit allows the meters on the the suitcase feeder to display voltage/amps or IPM in power sources not having pins F and H in the 14 pin connector.

According to Miller's literature, the only power source having those pins is the PipePro 304.

My meters read gibberish on the Big 40. Never tried it on the TB 302 but I expect the same.

              Great!

When I use the 12 RC with my XMT 465 it displays ALL the info just fine as well.....because my guess is the 304 and 456 use pins F and H.

Go plug your 8RC into any engine drive other than the PipePro 304 and see what happens.

You'll be buying the same kit I just bought.....
