I doubt this one exists but it sure would be cool if you could plug a trailblazer into a 220v receptacle and use it in your shop without the engine. I dont see why it would not be a possibility as it is essentially a XMT inverter powered by a generator. Can this be done now or do I have to wait for the fine folks at miller to develop this function.

Can Engine-Driven Welder Plug In?

The Trailblazer is not anywhere near an inverter. You might be thinking of the PipePro. It has the XMT engine and it CAN be used on shore power with the shore power transfer kit.
The Trailblazer is an electronic field controlled 3ph weld output machine. The generator is required for it to run.
Maybe in the future a "Dynasty" engine drive would be cool!

I might be wrong, but I think it's the renegade that you can do that with...that's the engine driven mig/flux-core machine...no stick welding.Miller Syncrowave 180

"Plugged In"
Actually, chrisa7164 is 1/2 right. The new Renegade 180 is an industry-first integrated wire welder/generator WITH Dual Power. You can weld from 230V shop power or from 1 cylinder Kohler 10 hp engine.
The PipePro 304 has an OPTIONAL dual power feature which operates from 230V shop power single or 3-phase or the Kubota 26 hp diesel.

Well now I believe it is high time to upgrade the Renegade into the 211 model.

I suppose it would be possible to drive that engine with a outside electric motor & shaft though it would have to be in perfect balance.
You would also have to pull your spark plugs and put in air one way check valves and use the engine as an air compressor. You would have to have a fuel and spark shut off. Hmmmm. Still might be too much torque on the flywheel
