    Does the gritty appearance of this bead mean contamination or something else? 3/32 Ceriated (sharp point), [email protected], 125A, 120Hz, 20%, #6 cup (no gas lens), Base material, 1/8 6061, tried 4043 and 5356 for filler.

    It looks as iron material, Chloridric acid may cleaning up

      The 4043 is known to have a sandy appearance at times. It looks like contamination or not enough cleaning, the band along the edge of the weld looks very narrow. possibly a cracked cup or leak in the hose, a gas lens may help also.
