"Check & Double Check"
It's always a good idea to have the serial number checked to insure the machine(s) aren't stolen.
I don't trust e-bay, craig's list, or any of them.

Look at the image posted on the front of the machine. There is a wire and a small type of electrical plug on the end of it. My 200 DX was purchased 11 months ago and I have no wire like that sticking out of the machine. Someone has been tooling around with this unit and it was not MILLER.

If you are a tig welder and serious I would demo it, also get the Ser# and insure it has the new firmware/Blue-lighting

I thought those were $5500 based on the Miller website price- wrong. I got my MM140 new from Airgas and will probably buy new again becuase I am so new to welding and don't want to save $400 and spend another $700 to get all the parts that didn't come with "a great deal.".
When there's more money for materials, to make custom scrap, I will get a tig unit for aluminum.
Thank You for the excellent pre-purchase research information.Last edited by Johnny; 04-26-2009, 06:59 AM.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and words of encouragement becuae they are truthful and accurate.
Long story avoided by saying that I have turned a lot of wrenches on this car and won't be opening the tool box again. No one, besides me, actaually knows how much I worked on it only to have another problem pop up.
My dogs will be with me most of the time, and I am VERY BLESSED for that, so I won't just run it 'till she stops and walk away. A trunk load of carpentry and painting stuff is also to be cared for.
