A Dynasty 200DX for $2695 and I am only short that exact amount plus whatever money it takes to get the "Check Engine" light to go off in my car.

    Next time.

The check engine light will cost a minimum of $600. And then they won't fix it the first time and luckily for you when you take it back it will be something different that they didn't fix so it will cost another $600. You will then get pissed that the morons can't fix it and you won't be able to get your car inspected. So then your son will get a ticket for expired inspection sticker even though you just spent $1200 plus the cost of the failed inspection sticker. Then you will clear the check engine light and try to get it inspected so you can get the ticket dismissed only to have the car fail inspection again because the f'ing computer keeps a memory of the last time the light was on. Another $39.50 wasted and you still have the check engine light on, no inspection sticker and a ticket...... not that I know about this or anything....

I appreciate your enthusiasm and words of encouragement becuae they are truthful and accurate.

Long story avoided by saying that I have turned a lot of wrenches on this car and won't be opening the tool box again. No one, besides me, actaually knows how much I worked on it only to have another problem pop up.

My dogs will be with me most of the time, and I am VERY BLESSED for that, so I won't just run it 'till she stops and walk away. A trunk load of carpentry and painting stuff is also to be cared for.

        Johnny,

Hello neighbor! I am just across the river and I have seen that Dynasty ad on Craigs for a week or so. It is hard to say how much use/abuse it has gone through, not a real killer deal as a new one is available for about $400 more. If you are a tig welder and serious I would demo it, also get the Ser# and insure it has the new firmware/Blue-lighting

Thank You. I am not serious about it and don't deserve it because I cannot even weld a straight line with my MM 140.

I thought those were $5500 based on the Miller website price- wrong. I got my MM140 new from Airgas and will probably buy new again becuase I am so new to welding and don't want to save $400 and spend another $700 to get all the parts that didn't come with "a great deal.".

When there's more money for materials, to make custom scrap, I will get a tig unit for aluminum.

Thank You for the excellent pre-purchase research information.

For that price you might as well pick up a bare machine for $105 more and buy a used contractors kit and have peace of mind. The check engine light could be simple as a loose gas cap. Take it to Autozone and get it scanned for free. A few years ago I bought my own scanner.

I read about the gas cap possibly being a culprit but didn't know about a free scan at AutoZone. Thank You very much.

Look at the image posted on the front of the machine. There is a wire and a small type of electrical plug on the end of it. My 200 DX was purchased 11 months ago and I have no wire like that sticking out of the machine. Someone has been tooling around with this unit and it was not MILLER.

I see what you are talking about. I wonder what that's all about.

                    "Check & Double Check"

It's always a good idea to have the serial number checked to insure the machine(s) aren't stolen.

I don't trust e-bay, craig's list, or any of them.
