first mobile rig ive ever seen like that its a cool setup especially with the side shade on it
does it have a power lift gate those full size oxy and acetylene bottles must be heavy lifting to get it up there
overall a sweet welding rig
Thanks, it has a hoist mounted inside next to the rear door against the wall on the passenger side. I like it, the two down sides is that you have to climb in and out alot and you tend to pile thing right in your path so after working a few hours, your tripping over your tools. lol
Hi There not a very good picture of my set up!
I am changing it all around the next couple weeks ,tool boxs for the sides and a aluminum Work table at the back to fold down with the gate.
Figured I should show a picture since I hav'nt before.
Set up is a Trailblazer 302 EFI
12 RC
XTREME 375
COMPRESSOR
SPOOL GUN
TIG
(MILLER EVERYTHING)
And so many tools I cant find the back seat(Hence the tool boxes going on )
heres my truck with some paint on it. Polished my shell-ryns and tidweld cord reel this week. Got the doors for the boxes chromed too. too busy working to finish. more pics soon.
It seems like you guys up north like things on your decks high up, and most the rigs in the states like to keep things low. But either way you've got a sweet lookin rig. Hope its been puttin those hundreds in your wallet.
Weldwood1, with your experience with the box van, what do you think of a big heavy-duty step-van for the same work? The floor would be a good deal lower to begin with. If you added a lift-gate, it could be lowered halfway to make a good easy two steps to the box . . . at least until you pile too much stuff on it. And with a step-van you also have a right-side entry just behind the cab area. It's a litttle more complicated to mount the welder so as to not block off that right-side entry, but do-able.
