Hey Norm: Check out www.canadianpicnic.com They've done this every year in Phoenix since 1953. Think I'll stop by and get a cup of Tim Horton Coffee! Better dust off my clubs!
CWagner: Yeah, there was a big feature on the morning Local new this morning about it. Golf Tournament at Stonecreek in Paradise Valley (very affluent part of town). Burnaby, BC., Calgary, Ab., and Kingston, Ont., are all sister cities of Phoenix and surrounding communities. They figure 500,000 come every winter to escape the cold up north, and 92,000 have made Arizona their new home. It's a sure bet, the next head of lettuce you bite into, was grown in Yuma, Az.
Stay warm my friend, it's already 73F here (it's tough, somebody's got to do it.)
looks like good family fun! See we canadians arent all that bad. I see in the photos, quebec has their flag out again maybe we need to have a USA day up here, show them what we have to offer, I am thinking slow smoke BBQ, cold beer, tim hortons, canadain bacon. That could be a good time "EH" I'll have to clen up my igloo and wash up my dog sled for the big party!!

Hey Dan: I'll take a dish of Potato Wedge Poutine W/Cheese Curds please.
If I get off work in time Sat, I might swing by the picnic, it's on my way home from work, and it's FREE!

Dan: Will do! Thanks. I see your Flames are in 1st. The 'Yotes are hanging in there, barely. Back in the late 80's, wasn't a bigger rivalry than the Oilers & Flames (maybe the Leafs & Habs).
Sounds like a good time, I'd never heard of it before.
500,000 Canadians visit Arizona each year! Wow you have a large
Canadian Population happenin' down there in the Sunny South !!
Ya, Order an Extra Large Double,Double Timmys Coffee, and see
what the reaction is?
Enjoy the Great Canadian Picnic !!!
And Dave, don't forget to be polite when you order that XL Double Double. Because all of us up here expect at least a" thank you" or "sorry about that" when you order. LOL

Ya that was great hockey!! it still gets good sometimes but nothing like it was back then. I love it when the desert dogs beat Edmonton It makes me feel good all day long the next day!! Doan is from Alberta I think. I have my Flames flag on my welding truck when I drive through Edmonton, to work up north They like to flip the bird in and around the Edmonton area
we get chinook winds alot here so we are alot warmer then the rest of Alberta, it can get down -40 here but it doesnt last long, like today it was +10 here today

Well when they flip ya the bird, they just wanna show you who's number one! Now I'll know your rig Dan, by that silly burning "C". lol. Keeping busy or like the rest of us, keeping busy on the phone. Man!, it sure slowed down! Bob Go OIL!!
Now, was that C or F? Either way, that's a VERY COLD day! It does get cold up in Northern Az., but it always warms up. We've got another storm coming in this weekend, so I'm sure it will dump some more snow up in Flagstaff. It's +61F here as we speak.
There's almost too many teams in the NHL now, I can't keep up with them all.
Might stir up some controversy with this one, but the best player in the "Modern Era?" For durability, size, strength, speed, agility, vision of the game, leadership skills. I would have to say............Mark Messier.
Modern day Gordie Howe. Got to admit, the guy won Cups where ever he went and lasted.
Whats this dish Potato Wedge Poutine? Sounds good! Where do I get a recipe for it?
