  • NEW Millermatic 211 Auto-Set with MVP

Well Miller finally answered sister company Hobart's HH210 offering with a new machine. The MM211.
And it runs on 120v or 230v
I don't know what everyone will actually sell them for but full boat retail is only $1197.
Reading about looks to say it's the the most powerful machine in a small case and from what I'm reading it looks like the most bang for the buck out there!!
Says she'll do 3/8th's steel in a single pass plus with the spoolgun option good for 3/8th's aluminum as well (doesn't say how many passes)

Nope...in fact they also have a new MM212 Autoset as well and say if you want tapped machine then get the DV12.
They are dropping the "normal" MM212.

      FK,

Where is the information, I just did a search for it and turned up nothing, can't find it under products or new products.

Was it in a trade magazine?

If online is there a link?

I haven't been able to find any information about this machine either. I really want to read the spec sheet to see what the duty cycle and the input amperage requirements are. If it will run behind a 8500peak/5500w run generator this may be for me. I'm extremely close to buying the HH210 but this has gained my interest. I hear and read nothing but good about the Hobart HH210, but...

            Duty cycle = 90A @20VDC 20% duty cycle on 110 VAC 30-140A range
            150A @23.5 VDC 30% duty cycle on 220 VAC 30-210A Range
The biggest difference I see is the Hobart Handler 210 uses 3035 Spoolgun, the Miller 211 uses the Spoolmate 100 spoolgun. Oh yeah the Miller has a fancy cable management system on the handle that appears to be a Velcro strap.

I picked up the fliers on this machine yesterday at my LWS.
Pretty soon all the info will be everywhere so they can sell them for Christmas. My info says in my area they will be available for purchase on December 7th.

I called Miller headquarters and spoke with machine sales. The fellow(Doug) I spoke with has no knowledge whatsoever about a new welder, specifically the MM211), hitting the market. Just don't know what to think. Someone wrote that their local welding supplier gave them a flyer and a public sales date. I won't challenge the veracity of that, so it must be a well guarded secret - you know, corporate espionage and all that James Bond sorta stuff.

Well connected?!!! You're like a regular James Bond! I wonder if the guys at Miller were told to keep their mouth shut! If you already saw a flyer on it, wait a few weeks, THEN the truth will come out!!!!!!
I"m so afraid of buying a Dynasty 350dx, then the new model will come out a few months later.........

Dang it....I have a fairly new computer but my scanner is an old one thats all in one and for some stupid reason they don't recognize each other. I prints fine from the computer but when I try to scan it acts like it isn't even hooked up. I am certainly not a computer person by any means.
Maybe later on this weekend when my family gets here for thankgiving on saturday for us I can somehow swindle one of my sons or their wives to get it going and I will scan and post if possible
                            If not then sorry.
I guess miller caught so much crap from dealers in the past that they decided to include distributors in the loop from the first this time. Not a bad Idea when you think back how long it took before an LWS even HEARD of a HH210...now the tables have turned
