Used Passport

I was looking for a used Passport.

What would a fair price be for a used unit?

In addition would it be worth looking for a used Passport Plus? The majority of my welding has been in steel, but I have done some aluminum with my TIG welder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I sold a Passport for 800 bucks with little use. Good luck on finding a Passport Plus used..

I've seen then from $800 to $1200. $800 is a real good price. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

As above, good luck finding a PP+ on the used market.

Passport question.

My son was looking at my Passport the other day and said the CO2 internal bottle was just a paintball CO2 bottle. Having never messed with paintball guns, I don't know. Is this true or are they different in some way? Any help here is appreciated.

My LWS don't even deal with them I had to find a Paintball Store.

A friend flies with his Passport and Picks up the Paintball Co2 cans at the local sporting goods store.

If you use them a lot you can Refill the Paintball Co2 cans yerself.

MY LWS is just the other way. He sells and fills co2 bottles for paintguns as well as selling the guns themselves and accessories.

I bought my used Passport two years ago from a guy who only used it once. I just happened to be at my local supply house getting an argon refill and overheard a gentleman asking the counterman if he knew of anyone looking for a used Passport. The counterman said he didn't know of anyone at the moment but he was welcome to post it on their bulletin board. I started talking to the guy and offered him $750.00 and he eagerly agreed. He even had a second small CO2 bottle (which I have refilled at a paint gun supply store) and two spools of wire. I haven't used it much but it is handy when I need to weld something remotely and I couldn't pass up the price. Mike.
