  • Antique NCG Welder (photo)

I attached a picture of it, so if anyone can tell me any info on a Sureweld A-C Arc Welder. Made by National Cylinder Gas Company in Chicago Ill.

    Serial # 62-1037 or 62-1D37
    Model # 20G

The only thing that I've found is that it is of WWII era and that Miller and Hobart had contracts to build them for NCGC about that time. It's an antique and I'd like to know the year and some history.

Miller doesn't show anything under there serial number chart and Hobart shows nothing either.

I seem to be having trouble posting a photo. If you would like to see the welder, someone else posted it for me at Hobart Weld Talk under General Welding Questions.
