Does anyone know where to get metal tubing, plates and other raw steel products from in the sacramento area?

Look in the yellow pages under "Steel Suppliers". There are plenty in the Sac metro area.

Blue Collar Supply has small pcs

Blue Collar Supply has a lot Steel plates, bars and channnel, but not much tubing. They also have a lot of aluminum. For custom cut pcs go to S & K Steel. Blue Collar is self seve and S & K will cut whatever you want.

If nothing works for you, go out to Schnitzer Steel in Rancho Cordova. There'e a recycler, and all kinds of stuff is laying around out there.

ABC is(or was) in midtown

ABC is a small place, mostly specializing in brass and aluminum, but sells steel remnants by the pound also. You don't need a business license and there is no minimum.
