Its not bad at all, the lamination on it is peeling back in places thats all, I was just wondering if they were readily available some place on the web. no biggy
No Im not the original owner, I just bought it for 2500 bucks, its been restored, lincoln tells me its either a '68 or '69. It is in fairly good condition yes...but there are some rough spots. It doesnt run but thats because it had been sitting for a while. So I am putting a new coil on, plugs, rebuilding the carb, oil filter all the normal maintenance stuff. Should be up and running ready to burn some rods soon. only problem is that I go back to college this Saturday so my dad and brother will have to work on it.
hey Jhall thanks for that link to the knobs, I was also wondering mine has a fuel shutoff valve installed on the side right up front was this original or did the owner before me install this? and theres also two toggle switches, ones definitely a kill switch the other I have yet to find a purpose for. Were these two toggle switches standard equipment? I have a feeling the one isnt standard.
the guy I bought it from must have done alot of resto jobs because he had this one, an old SAE-400, and a very very nice SA-200(70's) which is what I originally inquired about buying... but as of now its not for sale.
I have seen that website before JT, but I'll make do with what I have at the moment, I was just being picky before, there are other trouble spots I'll fix before I get another face plate... but thanks for the suggestion
