5 gallon bucket, 3 gallons of tig coolant, any 110 pump that pumps atleast 5 gpm, but all you will use is about .5-1 GPM, a little giant fountain pump could even be used. Pipe in with manifold for fittings and pressure guage between pump and gun, 20 psi is plenty but the 600-1200 coolers run up to 55 PSI. Put a valve inline between pump and gun and throttle the flow, with a relief hole in pipe between pump and gun for over pressure relief. Sometimes deadheading a pump can shorten the life. As long as you can maintain temps of coolant your fine. just a little 5 gallon bucket with the pump in it and colrd hanging out. Sump pumps work too. This is Super cheap, if not permanet then a temp fix or to get you going till you fab up a nice shaped box to fit your space.

Most use the same design procon pump, a 115Volt electric motor drive, a coiled or straight rad, and a holding tank made of steel or plastic.

    What more is there....

I would love to find some no-name, all plastic, cheap-a$$ that worked as good as anything. This seems to be a harder decision than the welders because of lack of brands/dealers.
So far everything I've found is heavier than the welder!!

Has anyone tried the Coolmate 4 ....it looks to be the most portable...even has a HANDLE!!!

I know a while back ago someone was selling home made coolers on E-Bay, never paid much attention to the price though since I was not in the market for one.

No name brands are just as good as the name brands. as they all fullfill thier basic purpose to cool the torches.

What is the BEST small tig cooler??

Most Bang-for-the-buck-wise that is. I would like to rig one on my new Dynasty 200 and use it on the road so it needs to be 110v and lightweight as possible. TIA!!

BTW...I really don't give a hoot what color it is either
Working...
