Lincolin Ranger Welder

Have the chance to pick up a year old Ranger 10K welder/generator that has never been used for $1800.00. Is this a good deal? Thinking about trying to do some portable welding/fab work on the side. Yea, I know it isn't Blue, but the price looks right.

$1800 sounds like a decent price for a new machine. I recommend buying it, selling it on Ebay for more money and then buy a Bobcat 250. For a side business, the Bobcat 250 is better with 7018 electrodes, Wire, and produces 1/3rd less noise which is nice when working by the machine.

Hopefully I will get to look at it today or tomorrow, he said his sisters boyfriend or somthing wants to look at it and he is giving him first dibs. If he falls through, I might go pick it up if it looks good and has 0 hours. Mabey turn around and sell it for a couple bucks.
