$1800 sounds like a decent price for a new machine. I recommend buying it, selling it on Ebay for more money and then buy a Bobcat 250. For a side business, the Bobcat 250 is better with 7018 electrodes, Wire, and produces 1/3rd less noise which is nice when working by the machine.

Have the chance to pick up a year old Ranger 10K welder/generator that has never been used for $1800.00. Is this a good deal? Thinking about trying to do some portable welding/fab work on the side. Yea, I know it isn't Blue, but the price looks right.
