    The wife and I were wondering after all the money that us welders are making and going to make where are you thinking of retireing to?

        What - retire! Why would I want to stop doing what I love to do. Heck I would do this stuff for free... I'm just glad I don't have to!

                I don't like the thought of working for the best 30+ years of my life to be worn out and sit around waiting for the last 20 to go by in retirement. I'm more of a do what you would do if you were retired, just make it work for you. As far as where to live, you know that northern cariboo to grand cache area is gorgeous Got to like the winters though

                          You guys can't retire!

                          Have any idea how hard it is to find a good welder under 40? I'm glad I found this board, the guys I know who are my age and good with a bead number under a dozen . (Outside the fabrication forums I read/post on)

                          How about sticking around and helping us new guys learn to lay a proper bead?
