Making suspension links from 1.25odx.120wall DOM to 1045 threaded adapters. MIG or TIG, ER70-S2 or -S6? Suggestions please.

I would tig it and it doesn’t matter, S2 or S6. If the fit up isn’t as nice as it should be, S6 has some properties that help keep the backside of the weld a little cleaner.

Thanks, ryanjones2150. The fit up is very tight inside the tube with a good bevel. Adapters will be plug welded on the sides, too.

I'm disappointed. I thought this was going to be a diary entry (24-hr clock)

Might be trying to avoid disjointed rambles about the hazards of not using chromoly.

The best stories are often disjointed rambles. Cooper's Corner comes to mind.

Stories, yes. Sometimes, too much ramble just slows a guy down.

No idea. The bars don't show up on the phone app, so I haven't the slightest idea. Maybe it's my complete uselessness lately and they're trying to boost my spirits?
