  • Machined some alum centers for some fancy wheels.

    My buddy needed 5 center caps for his Case garden tractor project. He showed up with some 3 1/2" alum bar stock for me to cut and turn. He wants the end big and smooth to have the Case logo CNC milled in it. The hardest part was trying to hold them. So I drilled and threaded a 1 1/2-6 thread for a stud chucked in the chuck. All in a days work...Bob

        It just has a 1/4" wide flange that fits in a groove on the back of the wheel. It pushes against the axle to hold it in..Bob

          Ah. So there was some sort of cap there before, you just made it better.

            Yes a plastic cap with the John Deere emblem. These are going on a Case so they were re powdercoated orange and will be engraved with the Case emblem. I just didn't have an orange pic...Bob
