My son helped the kid up the street with some repairs to his Fiat 128 (?) LeMons car. I think it's a Yugoslavian-built model, LOL. My son didn't drive but attended one race.

The names they give the races is a hoot: http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/events-results/2015 Arse-Freeze-Apalooza, Where the Elite Meet to Cheat, Doing Time in Joliet, etc.

        Miller stuff:
        Dialarc 250 (1974)
        Syncrowave 250 (1992)
        Spot welder (Dayton badged)

I think the challenge is in the creativity of the car and not how crappy it looks or...god forbid...winning anything.

On LEMONS...... even though the rules limit money spent...

that does not preclude extreme effort and creative range...

or maybe it is just an indicator of group mental derangement.....

some sign of mass hysteria and visions from the heavens...????

totally off the wall... but very cool................

As it is, looks like we're gonna do lemons. We're also about to tear down the Bamchero engine, add a blower, and probably stick it in a proper drag car. I have quite a bit of fab work to do on the roll cage to make it fit Mike properly, so I'm sure the whole body is coming off. I'm looking at buying a proper notcher for the tubes and see where that path leads us. Be sad to see the end of the Bamchero.

Be a shame to retire it before finding out how hard it could run the standing mile....
