Does the water cooling system has to go through the welder? does it serve any purpose of cooling component in the welder?

Does the shielded gas have to go through the welder? my guess is it would save argon gas with an on/off switch controlled by the pedal - on only when welder is in use. Is this a correct assumption.

Any help/answer is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance, Just learning and welding for a hobby.

Could you post a pic of the front panel...??

this may be an OEM version of the Miller 330 style machine with the "City Water" option and is ONLY used if you are cooling with water directly from the tap..... some of the newer models may have had the same water solenoid arrangement...

if you have a separate cooler you can ignore the solenoid and water connections that are built into the welder and connect directly to the cooler..

if it has an Argon/gas solenoid... I would use it... much more convenient.. plus you could set Argon pre & postflow
