      Turbo headers are especially prone to failure due to expansion and contraction stresses brought on by extreme heating and cooling cycles they are exposed to... elevated pressure ant temps that can be extreme in a turbo environment.... cracking and joint failure can happen VERY quickly...

      this happens even with "Big Name" factory installations....

      just ask any Porsche 951 Turbo owner...

      Careful design and the incorporation of slip joints will help to insure longer life and service... here is a good example..

      as far as using MIG for this project?? I personall use TIG for this type of work...

      but there is no reason that a careful, skilled MIG operator could not achieve decent results..
