If the pulse feature is all that you are after then either machine will work. It is all of the other advanced squarewave features of the Dynasty that make it a bettery choice overall.
We have a Synchrowave 250 at work that welds great and is a real workhorse. I have a Dynasty 300 at home and it welds great as well but with more adjustability. On the thin stuff you can pulse, soften the arc, widen the arc by changing the balance and on the thicker items you can create more arc force as well as make the weld dig in deeper.

Cost must be considered
I don't know it the OP is a company or using this for home garage work.
So the budget is a consideration for any purchase.
The Sync might be a bit cheaper up front than the Dynasty.
The Sync will cost more to run every month than a comparable Dynasty model.
Both will do the job described and much more. What monthly profit margins are you wanting to achieve.Live Right Have Fun

Dynasty 200
Just have to add.
The Dynasty 200 is portable and runs on 110V in a pinch. Need to drag it to a friends house? The Dynasty is the only way to go.
If you ever have to do thick aluminum (thicker than say 1/4"), fill that gap with a MIG setup.
The Dynasty 200 will do 100% of all the TIG welding you will ever have to do on a car.
The only bad thing, if you hit Craigslist etc. you can sometimes find Synchrowaves for $1400 or so. I have yet to see a Dynasty 200DX for less that $2200 - even old, non blue lightning version.
Priced new, they are both in the same ballpark. With the 250 you really need factor in the water cooled torch and cooler.
With the 200, it depends on how much welding you will do. Quick jobs (most around a car are) don't really require water cooled.Con Fuse!

Newby question
I was considering a Syncrowave 200 Runner. Now, I see members saying the Dynasty is a better machine. I have priced the Syncrowave @ $2700 vs. the Dynasty @ $ 4500. Not to sound like a smart a$$ but I would hope with that price difference it would be better. I realise many members are full time professional welders and in no way do I intend or mean to question their knowledge! I am just asking if the Syncrowave can do a nice job welding up to 1/4" Alum. I am a retired/amateur that wants a reliable machine that can do a nice job. I am not in a hurry so duty cycle is not a big concern. I appreciate any and all suggestions. Thanks, Jimmy

I bought the Dynasty200. At times I wish I'd bought the sync250. The dynasty is a great machine, but I could always use more power/duty cycle. I'm working out of the shop most of the time so the weight on the sync isn't that much of an issue. One time I carried the dynasty out and did some stick welding on 110v. That was nice! You could probably buy the sync AND buy a little inverter DC stick machine for the same money as the dynasty.

NOW... as to whether it makes economic sense in your situation.... that is a totally different question and up to you to decide.... But ...purely on your question of the best machine for the job... there is NO CONTEST!!!.... the Dynasty is the best machine based on weld performance and capabilities.....
